Cosmos Fizzy White

Approximately 50 seeds per pack. Beautiful large pure white daisy shaped blooms on tall stems with soft ferny foliage. Lovely in the garden or in mixed bouquets and for wedding design work. 60cm to 80cm height minimum, plant spacing 12 inch. Half hardy annual, protect seedlings from frost, plant out after all danger of frost has passed (usually late May to early June in Ireland). Sow from late March with protection to mid May if facilities are limited.

Surface sow using good quality seed compost, top with a thin layer of vermiculite and cover with a humidity dome until germination occurs, then remove it – germination occurs rapidly within days of sowing – ensure the seedlings have enough light or they will bolt. Prick out into individual cells when large enough to handle and grow on for about 4 to 6 weeks, harden off and plant out at 12 inch spacing. Keep well watered until established.

Plants can be pinched when about 12inches tall – this creates a bushier plant with more flowering stems.
